Thuja aka Thuya occidentalis Mirjam - conifer - A compact dwarf conifer growing to form a round shrub eventually 90cm (3ft) across. The feathery foliage is carried in upright sprays, green in the heart of the plant and golden yellow at the tips of the shoots. These become bronze-orange in cold winter weather changing the appearance of the plant completely. Cupressaceae
