Shepherdia canadensis - A deciduous Shrub growing to 2.5 m (8ft 2in) at a medium rate. Yellowish flowers. Shrubs or trees, often armed with thorns. Foliage often covered with scaly or flaking hairs. Silver-gray leaves. Bears edible berries. The fruit is usually red, but one species has yellow berries. The berries have a bitter taste. Family: Elaeagnaceae
