Malus domestica Gala - Red Gala apple harvests late summer, early fall in September and is one of the finest eating apples there is. The flesh is yellowish flesh is crisp, juicy and fine tasting. Red Gala is one of the easiest apples to grow. The upright, but spreading tree is very grower friendly. It blooms in mid-season and can be pollinated by most any variety. In order to get larger size on this medium sized apple, thin it down to one fruit per cluster. Height: 12-16 Feet - Spread: 12-14 Feet. Family: Rosaceae
