Luzula nivea (snow-white wood-rush)

Luzula nivea - Perennial plant - This species forms a tufted mound of hairy, grey-green leaves, bearing stems of snowy white flowers in late spring, which later turn into brown seed heads. Foliage is green; of medium blade width; 30-40 cm (12-16") in height. Flowers are white; clustered; May through June; 50-70 cm (20-28") in height. Family: Juncaceae
