Acer Bi Hoo (Japanese Maple)

Acer palmatum Bi Hoo - 'Bi Ho' is a bushy shrub growing to 2m tall. The yellow-green lobed leaves emerge in spring with a salmon-pink flush and turn shades of yellow and orange in the autumn before falling to reveal the golden-yellow and orange coloured stems. It is valued predominantly for its stunning colour in autumn and winter when the stronger branches and stems gain golden yellow or apricot orange shades, and thinner twigs turn salmon pink. It keeps a symmetrical, upwardly rounded shape that requires no or minimum pruning to look nice. Height: 2-3m - Width: 1.5-2m. Family: Sapindaceae
